An 11-year-old girl from south Wales has suffered life-changing injuries in a crash in Devon.<\/p>\n
Police and paramedics were called at 12.40pm on Thursday to the A30 eastbound near the village of Tedburn St Mary in Devon. A Volkswagen Polo and a Ford Ranger were involved in the crash and in total three children and one adult have been hospitalised.<\/p>\n
Devon and Cornwall Police said an 11-year-old girl from Monmouth, who was travelling in the VW Polo, has suffered life-changing injuries in the crash. She was airlifted to Bristol Children\u2019s Hospital where she remains.<\/p>\n
The female driver and two children from the same car were taken to Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital with minor injuries.<\/p>\n
The force said the woman remained in hospital on Friday afternoon and all the casualties are from Monmouth.<\/p>\n
Officers from the Roads Policing Team closed the A30 following the incident and it fully reopened in both directions at 8.40pm.<\/p>\n
They continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash and are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.<\/p>\n
