Final preparations are being put in place for Warwickshire to host the final stage of the Lloyds Tour of Britain 2026.<\/p>\n
Elite cyclists will take part in the fifth and final leg of the tour tomorrow (Sunday, August 23) where the overall winner of the race will be crowned.<\/p>\n
It is set to attract thousands to the south of the county as the cyclists take on a 77 mile long scenic circular route, starting and ending in Leamington and taking in parts of Kenilworth<\/a>, Wellesbourne, Shipston-on-Stour and Southam.<\/p>\n READ MORE: M6 full closure warning issued to motorists as HS2 bridges installed this weekend<\/a><\/p>\n READ MORE: Welcome back to the big time: Sky Blue Army takes over the Emirates – in pictures<\/a><\/p>\n The local leg of the be streamed live on TNT Sports, with daily highlights also available for free on ITV4 and ITVX.<\/p>\n For those who want to see the action first hand, CoventryLive has reported the full list of road closures as well as the timings,<\/a> ahead of the event.<\/p>\n We have also listed the full route of the tour, including key places to watch it, in our story here<\/a><\/p>\n Key timings and locations<\/p>\n The start time is 11am in Leamington<\/p>\n Wellesbourne\/Friz Hill -12.38m<\/p>\n Burton Dassett Hills Country Park – 1.43pm<\/p>\n 3km to Race Finish – A425 Leamington Road – 2.25pm <\/p>\n Newbold Terrace – Royal Leamington Spa – finish – 2.30pm<\/p>\n Spectators advice<\/p>\n As the riders are set to pass quickly, spectators are being urged to note the following:<\/p>\n There will be an advance vehicle 15 minutes ahead of the race, keeping you updated with what is happening, including when you can expect the race to pass through.<\/p>\n The race itself is escorted along the route by trained police officers and escort motorcyclists. If you’re asked to stop by an officer, please listen carefully and obey their instructions.<\/p>\n Stay back away from the edge of the road and remember that turning your back on the race is never a good idea \u2013 please always face the ongoing riders and race convoy.<\/p>\n Keep flags, objects and photography equipment out of the road, and any animals on a short lead, well away from the roadside.<\/p>\n CoventryLive has a dedicated Warwickshire newsletter which goes out once a day.
