{"id":109195,"date":"2026-08-23T10:23:08","date_gmt":"2026-08-23T10:23:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/109195\/"},"modified":"2026-08-23T10:23:08","modified_gmt":"2026-08-23T10:23:08","slug":"electra-extends-glencore-cobalt-deal-through-2031","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/109195\/","title":{"rendered":"Electra extends Glencore cobalt deal through 2031"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrabmc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Electra Battery Materials<\/a> (TSX-V:ELBM) has extended its cobalt hydroxide purchase agreement with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.glencore.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Glencore<\/a> (LON:GLEN) through December 2031, securing feedstock for its Ontario refinery commissioning and ramp-up.<\/p>\n<p>The five-year extension builds on a commercial relationship announced in 2021 and secures 100% of the feedstock required for commissioning and ramp-up through 2027.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement provides for approximately 10,000 tonnes of contained cobalt over five years, representing over US$500 million ($702.77 million) at current market prices.
