Freshney Place is to welcome a Barclays Local into the shopping centre this autumn. The bank is moving from its former location in Grimsby<\/a> Town Hall.<\/p>\n

The new facility at Freshney Place will give customers access to face-to-face banking support while enjoying the additional shops and services at Freshney Place<\/a> – making it easier than ever to tick multiple jobs off the list in one visit. Barclays<\/a> Local represents another step in the centre’s continued evolution.<\/p>\n

Offering a blend of retail, caf\u00e9s, health services and soon leisure and entertainment – when the new leisure extension opens – the shift reflects the changing way people use town centres. A Barclays spokesperson said: \u201cWe’re delighted to be bringing Barclays Local to Freshney Place, giving customers continued access to face-to-face banking in the heart of Grimsby.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis move ensures we can remain part of the local community, providing convenient support and services where people live, work and shop. We look forward to opening our doors this autumn and welcoming both existing and new customers.”<\/p>\n

Elliott Andrews, centre manager at Freshney Place, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Barclays Local to Freshney Place. Access to everyday services remains an important part of any thriving town centre, and having Barclays Local based here further strengthens our offer for visitors and the local community.<\/p>\n

Freshney Place is becoming somewhere people can shop, enjoy food and drink, access key services, and spend quality time, all in one convenient location.\u201d Barclays Local joins Freshney Place’s growing mix of national and independent retailers, caf\u00e9s and restaurants, alongside a range of services including a careers centre and the Community Diagnostic Centre.<\/p>\n

This creates a destination that continues to evolve in line with the needs of visitors. The announcement from Barclays comes as work continues on the centre’s transformational leisure extension, which will introduce a new cinema, leisure attractions and a modern market hall, further strengthening Freshney Place’s role at the heart of the community.<\/p>\n
