\n Milton Keynes lady Lizzie Deane is celebrating after leading the\u00a0Hawkstone Farmers Choir to a prestigious Golden Buzzer on the current series of Britain\u2019s Got Talent.\n <\/p>\n
The professional singer and vocal coach guided\u00a0the 32-strong group of farmers delivered a soaring rendition of Elbow\u2019s One Day Like This.<\/p>\n
The performance moved the judging panel –\u00a0Amanda Holden, Stacey Solomon (Guest Judge), Alesha Dixon and KSI – to tears.<\/p>\n
While the shimmering gold confetti marked a professional triumph for Deane\u2014who has spent over a decade running various local community ensemble – she says the true success lies in the profound physiological and emotional shift the music has brought to her local singers.<\/p>\n
For members facing the isolation of the farming industry, this musical connection serves as an essential form of vocal therapy.<\/p>\n
Richard Heady, 39, who manages a family farm in Drayton Parslow, uses the choir to find a much-needed mental escape.<\/p>\n
“Both living and working on the farm it can be hard to escape and switch off from work mode; the choir has given space to do this,” Heady explained, adding that when singing in a group,”all the farming worries just fade away”<\/p>\n
Having experienced the exciting buzzer moment during the show audition, the choir now needs to ready itself for the live semi-finals later this year.<\/p>\n
Deane remains committed to spreading the joy of song as a solution to isolation: “Singing together has absolutely made a difference… we could all do with spreading the joy in this world!” she said.<\/p>\n
