That\u2019s where the chain restaurant comes in. We\u2019re talking your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/restaurants\/history-of-pizza-express\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pizza Express<\/a>, your Nando\u2019s, your Wagas. Plus, the capital is replete with homegrown chains we\u2019re proud\u00a0to have birthed here, like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/restaurants\/yard-sale-pizza\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Yard Sale Pizza<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/restaurants\/lina-stores-marylebone\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Lina Stores<\/a> and of course, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/restaurants\/dishoom\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dishoom<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But with so much choice, how do you\u00a0separate your airy neapolitan crust from your soggy pizza base, your perfect tacos from your bland burritos, your rich ramen from your watery,\u00a0nondescript noodle soup? We\u2019re here to help.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Time Out has just\u00a0released a new ranking of the best chain restaurants in the capital. Taking the top spot was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/restaurants\/hoppers\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hoppers<\/a>, a Sri Lankan restaurant group with\u00a0branches in Soho, Kings Cross, Shoreditch and Marylebone. Hoppers was founded in the capital, its first\u00a0location opening on Soho\u2019s Frith Street in 2015. Now it\u2019s beloved by Londoners for its curries, roti and hoppers \u2013 bowl-shaped\u00a0pancakes made with\u00a0fermented rice and coconut batter, often with a runny egg at its centre.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>According to the Time Out editors, must-try dishes at Hoppers include deep fried mutton rolls, the egg hopper,\u00a0brinjal kari (south Indian aubergine curry) and and\u00a0south Indian jaggery lamb kari with tamarind.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Also making Time Out\u2019s list of the best chain restaurants was the beloved steak giant Hawksmoor, Rudy\u2019s Pizza and Bleecker Burger.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Something a bit different: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/news\/tresind-new-bar-tryst-michelin-082826\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the world\u2019s first three Michelin star Indian restaurant is opening a bar in London<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Plus, did you see that\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/news\/din-tai-fung-kings-cross-announcement-082426\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Taiwanese restaurant Din Tai Fung has revealed its fifth London location<\/a>?<\/p>\n<p>Get the latest and greatest from the Big Smoke \u2013 from news and reviews to events and trends.
