Barclays has informed its customers that their most recent balance might not be current, and has provided an explanation for this situation.<\/p>\n

The banking giant confirmed its app is currently facing a “temporary issue”. Barclays, which serves millions of banking customers throughout the UK, stated: “If your balance hasn’t been updated and you’re seeing the ‘Last updated’ message under one or more of your accounts, this is because of a temporary issue with our system.<\/p>\n

“Try logging in again after some time and it should update automatically. If you need to check your latest balance urgently, please use Online Banking or contact us.”<\/p>\n

Barclays noted it will show the most up-to-date balance information available, although this might not reflect any recent transactions. “The rest of your app should work as normal.”<\/p>\n

The Barclays app is available for download from the App Store or Google Play. You’ll require an Apple<\/a> iPhone, iPad, or an Android mobile device, along with your debit card and PIN (if you hold a Barclays current account), and your mobile phone number.<\/p>\n
