That\u2019s especially true in the adoption of ever more affordable renewables, battery storage and electric vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>But other goals \u2013 decarbonisation of heavy-emitting industries, for example, and development of clean fuels \u2013 have been harder than anticipated to realise.<\/p>\n<p>The global policy and economic backdrop, too, is also increasingly uncertain.<\/p>\n<p>Yet our research suggests that businesses\u2019 commitment to the energy transition remains strong.<\/p>\n<p>Some 78% of global corporate business leaders surveyed in our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.business.hsbc.com\/en-gb\/insights\/sustainability-pulse-survey\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Sustainability Pulse Survey  (opens in new window) (opens in new window) (opens in new window) (opens in new window)<\/a>    say they will accelerate their transition over the next three years.<\/p>\n<p>The survey findings, which gathered insight from more than 1,600 business leaders and 500 institutional investors across 12 markets, also suggest the climate transition will be important for competitive advantage \u2013 and I believe connections will be key.<\/p>\n<p>Innovation Zero World Congress<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n            Innovation Zero World Congress.
