Whether you are heading out this weekend to meet friends or just travelling around the city, there is no doubt that many of you will be venturing onto Transport for London<\/a> (TfL’s) public transport network, so here is a rundown of all the Tube and Overground changes for Saturday, September 5 and Sunday, September 6.<\/p>\n

On the London Underground<\/a> network, the District line<\/a> is expected to experience disruption, with no service between Edgware Road and Wimbledon. TfL has advised people to seek alternative Tube services or local\/replacement bus routes due to the planned track work.<\/p>\n

The TfL network is expected to experience disruption on a further three lines – the Suffragette line, Windrush line, and the Elizabeth line<\/a>. Firstly, on the Suffragette Line, there will be no service between Gospel Oak and Woodgrange Park on Sunday, September 6.<\/p>\n

The Windrush Line is set to undergo Network Rail Maintenance work, which will affect a number of services on both Saturday and Sunday, September 5 and 6. Here’s all the details of what you need to know.<\/p>\n

District lineSaturday, September 5, and Sunday, September 6, will see no service between Edgeware Road and Wimbledo on the District line. TfL has advised passengers to use alternative services or local\/replacement bus routes due to track work.Suffragette lineOn Sunday, September 6, there will be no service between Gospel Oak and Woodgrange Park due to Network Rail maintenance work. TfL has advised people to use alternative services or local\/replacement bus routesWindrush lineSaturday, September 5, and Sunday, September 6, will see no service between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction. Use Tube and national rail services or local bus routes. Rail replacement buses will run between Canada Water and Clapham Junction.On Sunday, September 6, there will be no service between Sydenham and West Croydon, and travellers are advised to use Southern Railway Services or local bus routes. There will be no service on the entire line after 7.15pm.Elizabeth lineOn Sunday, September 6, there will be no service between Paddington and Ealing Broadway until 7.45am due to Network Rail maintenance work.Big Half road closures<\/p>\n

Disruption is expected throughout Sunday, September 6, as road closures will be put in place for the ‘Big Half Marathon’, with extensive road closures set for swathes of South East and Central London. The half-marathon route will start in Wapping and finish in Greenwich<\/a> via Shadwell, Limehouse, Canary Wharf<\/a>, Tower Bridge, Bermondsey, Rotherhithe, Surrey Quays, and Deptford.<\/p>\n

Road closures will be put in place throughout the Tower Hamlets area from 4am, with more closures set to be in place from 6am in Southwark<\/a>, Lewisham and Greenwich. For more information on the specific road closures in place, please check the Big Half Website.<\/p>\n

Large crowds are expected along the running route, with the following stations expected to be busier than usual: Tower Hill, London Bridge, Bermondsey, Canada Water, Canary Wharf, Surrey Quays and Rotherhithe.<\/p>\n
