It caters to families in Hong Kong, mainland China and Southeast Asia with children in secondary school or pre-university education.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Attendees include principals and admissions officers from more than 40 leading secondary schools and universities, including the University of Cambridge and the University of Oxford.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Opening the morning session, Secretary for Education Christine Choi Yuk-lin said Hong Kong was transforming the traditional study-abroad trend from a \u201cone-way street into a two-way global highway\u201d.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Choi highlighted the government\u2019s push to expand science, technology, engineering and mathematics education, as well as its plans to allocate more land for higher education.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Education Secretary Christine Choi Yuk-lin outlined Hong Kong\u2019s plan to expand STEAM education and develop the Northern Metropolis University Town.
