The Baker and his wife are packing their bags! Following its high-profile run at The Bridge Theatre, the acclaimed revival of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine\u2019s Into the Woods<\/a> is officially transferring to the West End\u2019s No\u00ebl Coward Theatre this autumn.<\/p>\n

An award-winning revival<\/p>\n

Jordan Fein\u2019s visionary production arrived at tonight\u2019s 2026 Olivier Awards with incredible momentum, leading the musical categories with a massive 11 nominations.<\/p>\n

The show emerged with two awards, most notably beating Jamie Lloyd\u2019s star-studded production of Evita to secure the prestigious Best Musical Revival title. The production also took home the award for Best Lighting Design and Video Design, shared by Aideen Malone and Roland Horvath.<\/p>\n

From The Bridge to the West End<\/p>\n

Directed by Jordan Fein (Fiddler on the Roof, Oklahoma) and designed by Tony Award-winner Tom Scutt (Cabaret), this reimagined staging has breathed new life into Sondheim\u2019s spellbinding masterpiece.<\/p>\n

The transfer ensures that West End audiences will be able to experience a production critics have hailed as a \u201cmasterpiece of modern staging.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cast & Dates<\/p>\n

The show completes its run at The Bridge Theatre on 30 May 2026.<\/p>\n

The current cast is led by Kate Fleetwood (The Wheel of Time) as the Witch, Jamie Parker (The History Boys) as the Baker, and Katie Brayben (Girl From the North Country) as the Baker\u2019s Wife.<\/p>\n

From 20 April, a new star-studded lineup will take over for the final weeks at The Bridge: Melanie La Barrie as the Witch, Rachel Tucker (Wicked) as the Baker\u2019s Wife and John Owen-Jones (Les Mis\u00e9rables) as The Narrator.<\/p>\n

The show will transfer to the Noel Coward Theatre in September 2026, with exact dates to be announced on Monday 13 April.<\/p>\n

Casting for the West End transfer is also expected to be announced soon.<\/p>\n

The show will be produced in the West End by Jamie Wilson Productions (The Devil Wears Prada).<\/p>\n
