A flamboyant fixture in the springtime race schedule, the London Landmarks Half Marathon knows how to bring funky vibes to England\u2019s capital \u2013 and its ninth edition, which took place on Sunday 12 April, was another fan favourite. Around 20,000 finishers completed this year\u2019s race on Sunday 12 April \u2013 some in costume<\/a>, some for charity, some for a fast time and some for a fun time \u2013 and a staggering \u00a318 million pounds was raised for good causes in the process.<\/p>\n

Featuring a zig-zag route that weaves around London\u2019s most iconic sights, including Big Ben, the Tower of London and St. Paul\u2019s Cathedral, the 13.1-mile race<\/a> didn\u2019t fall short on landmarks nor distance this year, having been truncated by about 700m in 2025 for emergency reasons. It didn\u2019t fall short on celebrity participants, either \u2013 so here\u2019s how some famous running faces got at this year\u2019s event\u2026<\/p>\n

The BBC broadcaster, serial marathoner and beloved RW columnist is currently preparing for the 2026 London Marathon at the end of April, so what better way for her to start a two-week taper<\/a> than by running this year\u2019s London Landmarks Half Marathon as well? \u2018Absolutely loved that!\u2019 she shared on Instagram<\/a>. \u2018Thank you @londonlandmarkshalf<\/a> for a fantastic race and course and crowds. The radio DJ, television presenter and London Landmarks debutante, who \u2013 somehow \u2013 turns 61 in July, was chuffed to have conquered the 13.1-mile running challenge on Sunday. \u2018I\u2019ve always wanted to do this one,\u2019 said Whiley after the race. \u2018This has been a really important one to get in my life. I think we\u2019ve all done this for our own personal reasons, whether it\u2019s running for somebody in particular, or for a good cause, or running for yourself. Can I just say that there\u2019s a really amazing spirit \u2013 everybody here is so excited and it felt like one of the best runs to do.\u2019<\/p>\n

Alexandra Burke<\/p>\n

The popular singer, songwriter and actress is no stranger to the London Landmarks Half Marathon, having finished the course in a swift 1:56:06 for pregnancy and baby charity Tommy\u2019s<\/a> last year. As for this year? She ran for Tommy\u2019s once again while shaving more minutes off her time, even with the course being 700m longer\/the correct length. \u2018It was amazing \u2013 so, so incredible,\u2019 said Burke, who is best known for winning reality TV show The X Factor in 2008, after the race. \u2018The support out there in the streets of London was unreal. We\u2019re just very proud to have done it for Tommy\u2019s. If you\u2019ve ever run a London Landmarks, you need to do it for Tommy\u2019s, guys. Come on, do it. It\u2019s amazing to see something so much bigger than yourself and how that feeds everyone. It\u2019s what the world needs now.\u2019<\/p>\n

Tyler West<\/p>\n

The DJ and television and radio host, who is best known for presenting KISS Breakfast on KISS FM, made his half marathon debut at Sunday\u2019s race \u2013 and it was all in support of The King\u2019s Trust<\/a>. \u2018Sounding like a pug running round London landmarks but we got it done though \ud83e\udee1 first HALF!!! \ud83c\udfc3\ud83c\udffe\u2642\ufe0fwell done to all the runners, that was special \u2764\ufe0f\u2019 he wrote on Instagram<\/a> after crossing the finish line.<\/p>\n

Molly Rainford<\/p>\n

The actress, singer and television presenter, who was a finalist on Britain\u2019s Got Talent in 2012, completed the course just 30 seconds after fianc\u00e9 Tyler West, who possibly unleashed a sprint finish at the end. It was also Rainford\u2019s first half marathon, done in aid of The King\u2019s Trust<\/a>. \u2018My first half marathon!!! \ud83d\ude2e\ud83d\udca8\ud83e\udd79 Feeling so proud \u2728\ud83d\ude06 can\u2019t believe I completed it!!!!\u2019 she posted<\/a> post-race.<\/p>\n

A two-time Olympic snowboarder turned broadcaster, media personality and runner, Aimee Fuller returned to the London Landmarks Half Marathon this year to run with her mum, having clocked an impressive PB of 1:37:48 at the race in 2025. \u201813.1 Miles with Mumma,\u2019 she shared on Instagram<\/a>. \u2018Honestly such a constant inspiration.
