A woman moved from London to Liverpool and has seen one major change to her life that\u2019s ensured she\u2019s never \u201clooked back\u201d.<\/p>\n

The capital city is famous across the globe thanks to its rich history and cultural offerings from iconic landmarks, renowned museums and thriving theatre<\/a> and nightlife scene, to world-class food options, historic pubs and plenty more. Though it has a lot of pros, it\u2019s not without its cons – including the staggering cost of living<\/a>. The expense associated with making the most of all London has to offer has seen some people move away in search of a better work-life balance. This is the case for Solace Ojotule, who moved from Nigeria to the UK to pursue her studies<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After moving to Liverpool<\/a> from London a year ago, Solace has openly shared the positive difference the move has made to the quality of her life, noting she \u201cbreathes differently\u201d here.<\/p>\n

In a recent post on Instagram<\/a>, she shared a carousel of images with text written over the top of them to provide further insight.<\/p>\n

In one of the images, Solace explained: \u201cLiverpool gave me my life back. Not perfectly. Not without its own adjustments. But I breathe differently there.<\/p>\n

\u201cI sleep differently. I spend a Saturday doing something other than recovering from the week. I am not surviving in Liverpool. I am living in it.\u201d<\/p>\n

In another, she added: \u201cLondon is an incredible city and to me, it\u2019s an incredible city to visit. I just want to tour and go back please.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you are thinking about leaving, this is your sign. If you already did, drop where you moved to below. I genuinely want to know if you found your version of breathing again.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the caption accompanying her post, Solace added: \u201cLondon is beautiful. It is also relentless. And for a lot of us it takes far more than it gives.<\/p>\n

\u201cI moved to Liverpool a year ago and I have not looked back. Came back for a few days and one tube ride reminded me exactly why I left.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the comments section, fellow Instagram users were keen to share their thoughts and experiences.<\/p>\n

One person said: \u201cI lived in London for 6 months and was ready to move back to Australia, I was miserable! Went to Liverpool to visit for 2 days, moved a week later and spent 7 years there. Amazing place, I miss it SO MUCH!\u201d<\/p>\n

While another added: \u201cI was born in SE London but moved to Liverpool for uni, and never left! 21 years and counting\u2026 I enjoy visiting London, but Liverpool is home.\u201d<\/p>\n

A third agreed: \u201cI made the same move! Via Brighton. Best decision I ever made coming to Liverpool. Everything you said resonates.\u201d<\/p>\n

And a fourth added: \u201cI moved to Liverpool from London 6 years ago. I could\u2019ve written this post. Absolutely how I feel.\u201d<\/p>\n

Accomplished student Solace grew up in a small community in Kogi State, Nigeria, but despite the idyllic setting, she worried about the lack of opportunities available to her.<\/p>\n

In a YouTube video, she detailed her experiences and concerns while on her website, she penned: \u201cI grew up in a small community in Kogi State, Nigeria, where my mother – an incredibly strong widow – raised me.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom a young age, I was made to feel that, as a girl, I somehow mattered less in a society that favoured boys.\u201d<\/p>\n

Keen to change her life and pursue her education, Solace earned the prestigious Mastercard Foundation Scholarship to study Africa and International Development at the University of Edinburgh. She then moved to London before relocating to Liverpool around a year ago.<\/p>\n
