Ahead of<a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mylondon.news\/news\/transport\/exactly-london-underground-lines-run-33781031\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_self\"> both 24-hour strikes, <\/a>taking place <a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mylondon.news\/news\/transport\/what-chances-london-underground-strikes-33768314\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_self\">between Tuesday, April 21 and Friday, April 24<\/a>, the transport authority has earmarked specific lines and parts of the network it will likely be forced to shut.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The Piccadilly line has the highest proportion of drivers who are members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport Union (RMT) so it will be most hit by the walkout. TfL also says the Circle line won&#8217;t be able to run while it prioritises busier parts of the network, along with the Metropolitan line between Aldgate and Baker Street and the Central line between Liverpool Street and White City.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The <a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mylondon.news\/all-about\/hammersmith\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"\">Hammersmith<\/a> and City line largely covers the section of track expected to shut on the Metropolitan line, while the Elizabeth line &#8211; completely unaffected by strikes &#8211; can be used by some passengers who would normally travel on the Central line.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">On the whole, any services that do run on the <a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mylondon.news\/all-about\/london-underground\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"\">London Underground<\/a> are expected to be less frequent, very busy and passengers may not be able to board the first train. Passengers are also able to use DLR, Elizabeth line, <a aria-label=\"London OvergroundLink opens in a new tab.\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mylondon.news\/all-about\/london-overground\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_blank\">London Overground<\/a> and bus services which are unaffected by strikes, although these could also be much busier due to lines being shut elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">On Friday, April 24 commuters in East London could face increased disruption<a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mylondon.news\/news\/transport\/london-bus-strikes-could-take-33624656\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_self\"> due to bus strikes taking place simultaneously.<\/a> The 8, 25, 205, 425, N8, N25 and N205 will be affected.<\/p>\n<p>When will trains be affected by the strikes?<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Tuesday April 21 and Thursday April 23<\/p>\n<p>Morning &#8211; normal services expected until mid-morningLate morning &#8211; some disruption as services start to reduce ahead of strike action startingAfter midday &#8211; significant disruption expected on all lines<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Wednesday April 22 and Friday April 24<\/p>\n<p>Morning &#8211; significant disruption expected on all linesAfter midday &#8211; continued disruption throughout the afternoon and evening as we return the service to normalEvening &#8211; normal service<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Tube drives parts of the RMT voted to strike next week &#8211; and on four more dates in May and June &#8211; over plans from TfL to condense the current 36 hour five-day week into 35 hours across four days.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The union are keen to keep the four-day week, but want the hours reduced to 32 to account for tiredness caused by the high-pressure job..
