{"id":16485,"date":"2026-04-18T07:57:33","date_gmt":"2026-04-18T07:57:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/16485\/"},"modified":"2026-04-18T07:57:33","modified_gmt":"2026-04-18T07:57:33","slug":"these-are-the-uks-top-performing-mobile-networks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/16485\/","title":{"rendered":"These are the UK\u2019s top-performing mobile networks"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">Britain&#8217;s largest mobile network operators are being outmanoeuvred by their smaller competitors when it comes to customer service, according to an annual survey by consumer watchdog Which?<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">Three, O2, and Lycamobile emerged as the lowest-performing networks among over 5,000 mobile users surveyed, achieving customer scores of 65 per cent, 67 per cent, and 68 per cent respectively.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">Three, in particular, received a dismal two-star rating across all categories, including crucial aspects like network reliability and technical support, the consumer group found.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">O2 fared little better, securing only two stars for both value for money and customer service. This comes shortly after the provider implemented annual price increases, raising monthly charges from \u00a31.80 to \u00a32.50 for all its subscribers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">While Lycamobile managed a four-star rating for value, it mirrored its rivals with two stars in every other service area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">Even major players like EE and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/topic\/vodafone\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Vodafone;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;context_link&quot;,&quot;yModuleName&quot;:&quot;content-canvas&quot;,&quot;yLinkText&quot;:&quot;Vodafone&quot;}\" class=\"link \">Vodafone<\/a>, with scores of 74 per cent and 72 per cent respectively, were described by Which?      <\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">Talkmobile topped the rankings with a customer score of 83 per cent, followed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/topic\/tesco-mobile\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Tesco Mobile;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;context_link&quot;,&quot;yModuleName&quot;:&quot;content-canvas&quot;,&quot;yLinkText&quot;:&quot;Tesco Mobile&quot;}\" class=\"link \">Tesco Mobile<\/a> on 81 per cent, with both impressing customers with their network reliability, customer service and value for money.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">Other top-rated networks included <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/topic\/giffgaff\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Giffgaff;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;context_link&quot;,&quot;yModuleName&quot;:&quot;content-canvas&quot;,&quot;yLinkText&quot;:&quot;Giffgaff&quot;}\" class=\"link \">Giffgaff<\/a> and Smarty, which both received a score of 79 per cent, driven by their flexibility and affordable Sim-only deals.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">Lebara and 1pMobile both achieved a score of 78 per cent, with customers praising 1pMobile\u2019s network reliability and value for money and Lebara earning five stars for value for money.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">According to the survey, respondents using one of the \u2018big four\u2019 \u2013 EE, O2, Three and Vodafone \u2013 paid an average of \u00a316 for a Sim-only contract, compared with just \u00a39 on smaller networks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">For contracts including a phone, users paid an average \u00a340 with the \u2018big four\u2019 compared with \u00a328 with smaller providers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">Many smaller firms use the infrastructure of the \u2018big four\u2019, meaning customers often receive the same signal and coverage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">Which?
