NHS leaders have said the strike action, which coincides with the Easter holiday, will be \u201cchallenging\u201d.<\/p>\n
Writing in The Times, the Prime Minister said patients would be left \u201cpaying the price\u201d.<\/p>\n
He said the offer was made after \u201cmonths of collaboration with the BMA\u201d.<\/p>\n
Sir Keir wrote: \u201cThat is why walking away from this deal is the wrong decision. It is reckless. And doing so without even giving resident doctors the chance to vote on it makes it worse.<\/p>\n
\u201cBecause the truth is this: no one benefits from rejecting this deal.\u201d<\/p>\n
He said resident doctors, the NHS and patients will be \u201cworse off\u201d, highlighting that each strike costs the health service \u00a3250 million.<\/p>\n
\u201cProgress slows. Waiting times fall more slowly. Pressure on staff increases,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat is what makes this so frustrating \u2014 and so completely avoidable.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo I say this to the BMA\u2019s resident doctors\u2019 committee: reconsider.<\/p>\n
\u201cGive members a say and put this deal to a vote.<\/p>\n
\u201cFailing to do so will mean resident doctors are left with less, the NHS is weakened, and patients pay the price.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo resident doctors, I say this: make your voice heard. This deal improves your pay, your progression and your future. Do not let others decide for you.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere are still 48 hours left to choose a better path.
