A drug dealer who distributed heroin and cocaine<\/a> across the city has been jailed <\/a>for three years – that’s after intially telling police his dealing was “all lies”.<\/p>\n

Fasil Hussain sent out mass marketing messages from his phone to potential drug users advertising the sale of the illegal substances.<\/p>\n

The 40-year-old was wanted for recall to prison and officers <\/a>tracked him down in early February to a property in Upper Dale Road, Normanton<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Upon locating him, an amount of cocaine and cash was discovered and Hussain was arrested.<\/p>\n

After analysing a mobile phone which was seized as part of the investigation, officers found that he had been sending out mass marketing messages advertising the sale of the drugs.<\/p>\n

He denied the offences during police interview, telling officers “It\u2019s all lies”.<\/p>\n

Hussain, of Rose Hill Street, Rose Hill, was charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin and cocaine.<\/p>\n

He pleaded guilty to both charges and was jailed for three years at Derby Crown Court<\/a> on Wednesday, April 15.<\/p>\n

Detective Sergeant Mark Ryan said: “Hussain is the latest drug dealer to be caught and brought to justice by the team and this should send a clear message to other offenders that this will simply not be tolerated in Derby.<\/p>\n

“Drug misuse causes devastation in communities and our efforts to clampdown on this issue will continue in the Clear Hold Build area and further a-field.<\/p>\n
