Britain’s Got Talents’ live semi-finals got underway this evening with hopeful acts aiming to win a place in the final of the ITV<\/a> show. Before the action got underway presenters Ant and Dec addressed the drama of yesterday’s live I’m A Celebrity South Africa final.<\/p>\n

When Ant and Dec took to the stage they were greeted by loud cheers from the Britain’s Got Talent audience. Ant joked: “I just love live telly me.” Dec replied to his co-star: “There is nothing better, nothing better.”<\/p>\n

As the presenters introduced the judges for the first semi-final<\/a>, Ant told them: “We had quite enough drama on telly last night; you four be on your best behaviour. If you misbehave you will be out quicker than Sinitta.”<\/p>\n

Amanda Holden was given responsibility for the golden buzzer of the evening, which will see one act go straight to the final toward the end of May, bypassing the public vote.<\/p>\n

She told Ant and Dec: “After your extraordinary performance last night, I have learned from the best and I can handle the pressure of the golden buzzer.”<\/p>\n

Adam Thomas was crowned the winner and ultimate legend of I\u2019m A Celebrity\u2026 South Africa, after the live final descended into chaos.<\/p>\n

The episode became chaotic after David Haye joined the conversation to accuse the show of editing footage to make Thomas look like a “victim”. Ant disagreed that the exchange was aggressive and said: “No it wasn’t, I was there.”<\/p>\n

The 37-year-old actor was voted the winner by public vote during Friday’s final, during which former footballer Jimmy Bullard accused him of being “abusive, aggressive and intimidating.”<\/p>\n

Viewers have also been discussing Ant and Dec’s return to live TV, just one day after yesterday’s chaotic I’m A Celeb final. On X, one post said: “Ant and Dec earning their pennies this week. Let’s hope tonight’s live show goes better than I’m A Celeb did last night.”<\/p>\n

Another said: “Ant and Dec just look happy that nobody will be shouting at them tonight.” A further post read: “Let’s hope Britain’s Got Talent live shows are much calmer tonight for Ant and Dec.”<\/p>\n

Other posts included: “Ant and Dec already making jokes about last night” and “I feel spoilt seeing Ant and Dec live two nights in a row. I Just love them.”<\/p>\n

The 19th series of Britain’s Got Talent returned earlier this year but only one act can win the \u00a3250k cash prize and a spot at the Royal Variety Performance. Tonight marks the first of five live semi-final shows.<\/p>\n
