Full details on the new location, dates and tickets have been announced for a popular annual Kent air show which will return this summer. The Aero Legends Battle of Britain Air Show has been a staple of our county\u2019s events calendar for the past decade, bringing an impressive variety of war-era aircraft to Kent\u2019s skyways.<\/p>\n

Having been held at the Headcorn Aerodrome for the past 10 years, organisers have confirmed the Battle of Britain event will be moving in 2026 and, instead, be held at RAF Woodchurch in Ashford<\/a>. Running on the weekend of Saturday, August 8 and Sunday, August 9, the event promises two days of spectacular flying display, on-the-ground entertainment, food stalls and entertainment.<\/p>\n

Explaining the reason for the change, the Aero Legends team said in an update on their website: \u201cFor the past 10 years, it has been our privilege to organise the Aero Legends Battle of Britain Air Show at Headcorn Aerodrome, and we would like to begin by expressing our sincere thanks to everyone who has supported the event during that time. Our visitors, volunteers, pilots, aircraft owners, reenactors, traders and the wider aviation community have helped make the show one of the highlights of the historic aviation calendar.<\/p>\n

\u201cOver that decade the Battle of Britain Air Show has grown into a core part of the Aero Legends story, and we are immensely proud of what has been achieved together. As many will now be aware, there is currently a commercial dispute between Aero Legends and certain businesses associated with Headcorn Aerodrome regarding the future of the event.<\/p>\n

\u201cAero Legends\u2019 solicitors have been instructed since September 2025 with regard to this matter and we are continuing to address this matter through the appropriate legal channels. In the meantime, our focus remains on delivering a fantastic event for our supporters and preserving the legacy of the Aero Legends Battle of Britain Air Show.\u201d<\/p>\n

Guests can expect to see a wide selection of WWII-era aircraft take to the skies above the Ashford airfield for choreographed displays and heart-pounding battle re-enactments. Allied and Axis fighters, bombers, transport and training aircraft will be taking part, so look out for Spitfires, Hurricanes, bi-planes and more over the weekend.<\/p>\n

Organisers added: \u201cWoodchurch has a wonderful aviation heritage and provides an exciting new setting for the next chapter of the event. We will be bringing the full Aero Legends team and the experience gained from a decade of successful shows, and we are already working hard behind the scenes to deliver another memorable weekend of historic aviation.\u201d<\/p>\n

On both Saturday and Sunday, gates for the event will open from 10am and the agenda of flying displays is scheduled to kick off from 1pm. Meanwhile on the ground, visitors will be able to get up close to some of history\u2019s most famous warbirds and learn all about the fascinating history of aviation, while traders will bring food, drinks and products to peruse.<\/p>\n

Aero Legends is inviting guests to take a unique tour of the flight line in a genuine WW2 jeep, providing unobstructed views of the various display aircraft taking part in the weekend shows. Flight line ride tickets will need to be purchased alongside admission tickets.<\/p>\n

For guests looking to enjoy the weekend event in style, the Spitfire Enclosure tickets offer a private viewing area with seating, free lunch, water and hot beverages throughout the day and a Spitfire parked in the enclosure during the event. These ticketholders will also be able to walk around the aircraft and take photos.<\/p>\n

Tickets for the event are on sale now, with general admission starting at \u00a325.15 for adults (ages 16+), \u00a39.43 for children (ages 5 to 16) and \u00a367.07 for families. Kids under the age of 5 go free.<\/p>\n

Day passes for the Spitfire Enclosure start at \u00a3131 per adult and \u00a362.88 per child. Flight line premiere tickets cost \u00a367.07 per adult and \u00a341.92 for children. Find the full ticket booking details on the Aero Legends Battle of Britain Air Show website here<\/a>.<\/p>\n
