It’s that time of year again as the official Britain’s Got Talent social media platforms announced that they are looking for contestants for the 20th season of the popular competition show. The series started back in 2007, where Port Talbot’s own Paul Potts wowed the judges with his powerful vocals which lead him to become the first ever winner of the talent competition.<\/p>\n
Now, they are looking for contestants from across the UK to take part in the 20th anniversary of the show. They are once again asking for acts with a range of different talents to sign up, whether you are a magician, a singer, a dance group or something they have never seen before.<\/p>\n
Here is how you can take part in series 20 of Britain’s Got Talent. For the latest TV and showbiz gossip sign up to our newsletter<\/a><\/p>\n On their website, ITV<\/a> have said: “If you want to be part of BGT’s BIGGEST series yet, now’s your chance to apply for an audition.”<\/p>\n You can begin your application by following three different links. These are to applications for auditions in person, by video or by WhatsApp.<\/p>\n Additionally, you can nominate someone you know for an audition.<\/p>\n Applications close on Friday, October 16, 2026, so you have plenty of time to have a think about what best showcases your talent and work on your audition. The series will then air this time next year.<\/p>\n So, if you think you have what it takes to perform at the Royal Variety Performance and win a cash prize of \u00a3250,000, then start preparing your application now.<\/p>\n For more information and how to apply, visit the ITV website.<\/p>\n Content cannot be displayed without consent<\/p>\n The announcement on applications for series 20 comes just as this year’s series kicked off it’s live semi-finals.<\/p>\n Unfortunately, the Welsh dance troop Celtic Beat from Port Talbot<\/a> did not progress following the first semi-final which aired on Saturday, April 25.
