{"id":24226,"date":"2026-04-28T16:08:12","date_gmt":"2026-04-28T16:08:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/24226\/"},"modified":"2026-04-28T16:08:12","modified_gmt":"2026-04-28T16:08:12","slug":"airtel-eyes-fintech-ipo-spin-off-in-10bn-boost-for-london-market","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/24226\/","title":{"rendered":"Airtel eyes fintech IPO spin off in $10bn boost for London market"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\tTuesday 28 April 2026 4:53 pm\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p><img width=\"742\" height=\"495\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/airtelsign.jpeg\" class=\"media \" alt=\"Airtel logo signage on a building exterior indicating the companys presence and branding in a bustling urban area\" fetchpriority=\"high\" loading=\"eager\" decoding=\"sync\"  \/>\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>British telecommunications giant Airtel is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cityam.com\/uk-fintech-wise-to-ditch-london-primary-listing-this-quarter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">mulling listing its mobile money business <\/a>on the London Stock Market in what could be one of the largest public debuts on a European exchange in years.<\/p>\n<p>Airtel Money \u2013 a digital commerce service that allows users to store money, transfer funds and buy mobile data \u2013 is said to be eyeing the City as its top choice for a public listing after previous interest in the United Arab Emirates and elsewhere across Europe.<\/p>\n<p>The fintech is expected to collect up to $2bn (\u00a31.5bn) in its IPO and net a price tag of as much as $10bn, according to Bloomberg, who first reported the news.<\/p>\n<p>Airtel is majority-owned by Indian billionaire Sunil Mittal\u2019s Bharti Enterprises and is Africa\u2019s third-largest wireless carrier.
