Dramatic pictures show mob Steven Lyons wearing a black mask and high-vis orange prison clothes<\/a> defiantly staring into the camera with a menacing glare as two cops flank either side of him.<\/p>\n The gangster is led out of the Bali police<\/a> headquarters with his hands tied together with plastic cable ties as he faces major jail time for running his international criminal empire.<\/p>\n Police in Bali have confirmed that Lyons will now be sent to Spain on Wednesday.<\/p>\n They also confirmed they are hunting for two people who arrived with Lyons but managed to evade detection.<\/p>\n The crime lord <\/a>was arrested on an Interpol Red Notice at the airport on the Indonesian island on Saturday just days after he was deported<\/a> from Qatar.<\/p>\n The 45-year-old was detained after a police operation <\/a>in Spain and Scotland last week led to the arrests of 13 people suspected of being involved in organised crime.<\/a><\/p>\n Bali Immigration Office<\/a> labelled him a “suspected leader of an international criminal organisation”, after he was secured by officers and handed over to police.<\/p>\n Steven Lyons in orange jump suit with his hands tied together. <\/p>\n Steven Lyons is escorted by cops at the Bali Police headquarters in Denpasar, Bali.(Image: Copyright (c) 2026 Shutterstock Editorial. )<\/p>\n Thye added that he was “suspected of being the mastermind controlling members of his network in operations involving the management of fictitious companies and money laundering”.<\/p>\n Police Scotland<\/a> confirmed Lyons’ arrest on Saturday and said the force is working with partner agencies across Europe.<\/p>\n Police Chief Daniel Adityajaya speaks during a press conference on the arrest of Steven Lyons.(Image: Copyright (c) 2026 Shutterstock Editorial. )<\/p>\n His wife Amanda was also arrested by cops in Dubai<\/a> at the couple’s luxury apartment yesterday.<\/p>\n The pair were arrested after police in Scotland and Spain carried out a series of dawn raids<\/a> following a two-year joint investigation into a suspected drug trafficking network.<\/p>\n Officers arrested eight men aged 64, 46, 45, 45, 41, 39, 39 and 35, at addresses in Glasgow<\/a>, Bellshill, Cumbernauld, Gartcosh, Caldercruix, Coatbridge and East Whitburn at around 4:30am on Friday, March 27.<\/p>\n The men all appeared in court yesterday and were charged with a variety of offences, including organised crime.<\/a><\/p>\n Spanish cops also carried out coordinated swoops on properties in Malaga<\/a> and Barcelona at the same time and arrested five people.<\/p>\n Officers raiding a property in Spain. (Image: Europol)<\/p>\n Europol confirmed a \u00a3600,000 villa and two plots of land were seized in Turkey as part of the operation<\/a>.<\/p>\n The head of the Lyons family was pictured at the weekend as he was paraded by immigration officers and cops at Bali Airport.<\/p>\n The images, released by the immigration<\/a> office, show the ashen-faced gangster<\/a> wearing a black t-shirt and green shorts and holding a wash bag. Referred to as SL by officials, he can be seen sitting with his head in his hands surrounded by police. (Image: Ngurah Rai Immigration Office)<\/p>\n Lyons had been living in Dubai after leaving Scotland in 2006 as his family became embroiled in a bloody war with the rival Daniel crime clan.<\/a><\/p>\n However, he was expelled the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in September of last year after authorities<\/a> became tired of the headlines Scottish gangsters were generating.<\/p>\n Dubai cops rounded up Lyons, Ross McGill<\/a>, 32, Steven Larwood, 42, and another man who can’t be named for legal reasons and booted them out.<\/p>\n The Record reported earlier this year how McGill had a row with another man at a gym in the desert and this was the final straw for authorities in the UAE<\/a> who do not tolerate crime on their doorstep.<\/p>\n The Lyons and Daniel feud had fizzled out after a number of Steven’s top henchmen were jailed for attacks on their rivals<\/a> in 2019 but it was reignited last year.<\/p>\n Drugs baron McGill was ripped off by Edinburgh cocaine kingpin<\/a> Mark Richardson’s crew when they paid for a \u00a3500,000 consignment of cocaine with fake bank notes.<\/p>\n Ross McGill.<\/p>\n McGill went after Richardson’s gang and his associates in the Daniel clan with a campaign of firebomb and machete attacks.<\/a><\/p>\n Lyons pitched in to help by supplying McGill<\/a> with targets from within his long standing enemies in the Daniel clan.<\/p>\n The violence culminated in May when Ross Monaghan, 43, and Eddie Lyons, 46, were executed<\/a> outside a pub in the Costa Del Sol.<\/p>\n Police Scotland insist the deaths were not linked to the gang war but Spanish cops said the shooter was a Daniel clan<\/a> member.
