Two Jewish men were seriously wounded on Wednesday in a stabbing attack in the Golders Green neighborhood<\/a> of London, England, home to one of the\u00a0United Kingdom\u2019s most established Jewish communities.<\/p>\n

Shomrim patrol volunteers intervened and subdued the 45-year-old assailant. Police later arrived and arrested the suspect on suspicion of attempted murder.<\/p>\n

The two victims, a man in his 70s and another in his 30s, were first treated at the scene by Hatzola paramedics before being transported to a hospital, where they were reportedly in stable condition.<\/p>\n

Later on Wednesday, police officially designated the stabbing as a terrorist attack<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to the SITE Intelligence Group, the shadowy Iran-linked terrorist group Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamia (\u201cThe Islamic Movement of the Companions of the Right\u201d) claimed responsibility for the attack. \u201cZionists were targeted by our lone wolves in the Golders Green area of London,\u201d the group was quoted as saying in an online post.<\/p>\n

British journalist Jonathan Harounoff, who witnessed the aftermath of the attack, described a reality that has become all too familiar. \u201cNot a normal existence for British Jews here in 2026, or any year,\u201d he said. \u201cJewish communities in England are under attack. There have been enough wake up calls.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a statement, CAM CEO Sacha Roytman said<\/a>, \u201cThis is not random violence. This is open season on Jews.\u201d<\/p>\n

Roytman emphasized, \u201cThis is a defining moment. The question is whether those in power will act now, or wait until the next attack makes the cost of inaction further undeniable.\u201d<\/p>\n

The stabbing was only the latest in a recent series of escalating attacks in the UK<\/a> and across Europe<\/a>, including the torching of four Jewish ambulances in Golders Green<\/a> last month. Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamia has taken credit for many of these incidents.<\/p>\n

Last October, two Jewish worshipers were murdered in ramming and stabbing attack outside a synagogue in Manchester, England<\/a>, during Yom Kippur services. The attacker \u2014 35-year-old Jihad Al-Shamie, a British citizen of Syrian descent, who was shot dead at the scene by police \u2014 had pledged allegiance to the Islamic State group.<\/p>\n
