Guido first reported on discussions regarding returning Rayner, booting Lammy, and even removing Reeves all the way <a href=\"https:\/\/order-order.com\/2026\/02\/04\/exc-starmer-mulls-reshuffle-and-new-reset-in-last-ditch-bid-to-save-premiership\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">back in February<\/a>\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Government sources say that despite the reluctance of the nominally temporary No10 Chief of Staff Vidhya Alakeson and Darren Jones, they expect a reshuffle to take place on Monday 11th May. Its size and scope will depend on the mood after the May election result\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Chief Whip Jonathan Reynolds, according to Beth Rigby, is pushing hard for a reshuffle. As the man most in touch with the sentiment of the Parliamentary Labour Party, expect his case to be listened to closely in the days after the local elections results pour in\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Darren Jones has given himself some wind since briefings about his tactical retreat from No10 by attempting to lead the charge on Iran War communications with Starmer. Put it this way \u2013 he knows he won\u2019t get a promotion in a reshuffle\u2026<\/p>\n<p>There is the possibility that Starmer feels too weak to do anything and tries another tactic in the weeks after the locals.
