A Wetherspoon<\/a> in Essex<\/a> is facing criticism after a video showed a manager refusing to serve Reform UK supporters.<\/p>\n \u2018I can\u2019t have a drink,\u2019 the man filming says. \u2018Because you\u2019re deciding that?\u2019<\/p>\n The Braintree Wetherspoon employee replies: \u2018I\u2019ve decided, yes.\u2019 <\/p>\n \u2018So you\u2019re refusing to serve Reform supporters?\u2019 another man asks. In fact, the leaders of Reform have regularly used our pubs in Clacton and Skegness.<\/p>\n \u2018Politics can obviously raise strong emotions, and we have asked all parties to use our pubs on a social basis, rather than a political one, to maintain good order and comply with licensing obligations.\u2019<\/p>\n \t\t They added: \u2018In this case, enthusiastic Reform supporters were filming outside the pub and parked their bus in the pub\u2019s loading bay. As indicated, Reform supporters and other political supporters are welcome.\u2019<\/p>\n The manager\u2019s actions have angered thousands online, with one Essex Reform supporter writing: \u2018Absolutely disgusting. I\u2019d sack him.\u2019<\/p>\n Another person vowed to boycott Wetherspoon, with many tagging Tim Martin, the owner of the pub chain, and urging him to take action.<\/p>\n Just days ago, Reform UK leader Nigel Farage<\/a> shared a scathing post on X, calling a postman who allegedly binned Reform flyers \u2018disturbing\u2019.<\/p>\n A post on a\u00a0Facebook<\/a>\u00a0group for Royal Mail<\/a> staff said: \u2018My DO had reform party\u2019s D2D today. I dumped them all in a bin. They can sack me!
