A 30-year-old man is due in court charged with various offences following a \u00a31 million drugs seizure in Co Tyrone<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 30-year-old was arrested on Friday 1st May, in the Cookstown<\/a> area. Searches were also conducted at a property in the Dungannon<\/a> area \u2013 where suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of \u00a31m was recovered.<\/p>\n

He has been charged with being concerned in the supply of Class A controlled drugs, possessing a Class A drug with intent to supply and being concerned in the supply of Class B controlled drugs.<\/p>\n

Other charges include possessing criminal property, transferring criminal property, making indecent Images of children, possessing indecent images of children and attempting to pay for sexual services.The man is due to appear before Dungannon Magistrates\u2019 Court on Monday, 4th May. As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.<\/p>\n

PSNI Detective Inspector Conor Sweeney said previously: \u201cThis arrest comes as a result of the forensic examination of two mobile phone devices seized by detectives from a vehicle stopped in January in the Markethill area. \u201cThe devices showed evidence of organised drug supply of both cocaine and cannabis and the movement of illicit cash. Indecent images of children were also uncovered on a phone. \u201cThis arrest displays two things: firstly, our commitment to tackling this type of harm using all the technical capabilities at our disposal, and secondly, the multi-layered criminality that organised criminal groups are involved in. \u201cPeople do need to understand that for every gram of cocaine they buy from a drug dealer, there is a real level of harm behind that. This harm may not be immediately visible but it is very real. \u201cI would appeal to people who have information that can help police deal with organised criminality of any type to contact police on 101.\u201d A report can be made online via www.psni.police.uk\/makeareport<\/a>.
