A woman was allegedly raped in a Harrow park on Friday (May 1).<\/p>\n
The Metropolitan Police was called around 5pm the next day (Saturday, May 2) with a report that a woman was raped in Byron Park.<\/p>\n
The alleged victim is now being supported by specialist officers.<\/p>\n
40-year-old Anojan Ganesalingham, who is homeless, was arrested in Harrow on suspicion of rape. He was charged with two counts of rape this morning (Monday, May 4).<\/p>\n
Detective Inspector Mitesh Mulji, of the Met\u2019s North West Command Unit, said: \u201cWe are committed to tackling the scourge of sexual violence against women and girls.<\/p>\n
