Police have arrested three people on suspicion of murder after a man was found dead at his home in Burntwood, near Lichfield, Staffordshire, alongside a dog which had been stabbed<\/p>\n

Three people have been arrested after a man was found dead at his home with “significant injuries” alongside a “stabbed” dog.<\/p>\n

Police looking into the shocking death have arrested three people on suspicion of murder as investigations continue.<\/p>\n

The body of a man was discovered in a home in Burntwood, near Lichfield this morning. Police rushed to the address at around 9am following reports of two men fighting but when cops got to the scene they found a man suffering with serious injuries.<\/p>\n

West Midlands Ambulance Service and the Midlands Air Ambulance Service were also in attendance and worked to save the man.<\/p>\n

However, despite the best efforts of medics, there was nothing that could be done to save the injured mand and it was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 10am.<\/p>\n

A dog was also found in the house with stab wounds and taken to a vet to be treated. A police cordon was in place at the address and a murder investigation was launched by Staffordshire Police.<\/p>\n

Two men, aged 32 and 37 and a 33-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: \u201cThree people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man died in Burntwood this morning (May 5).<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were called to Hazel Grove shortly before 9am following reports of two men fighting.<\/p>\n

\u201cA man was found with significant injuries at the scene. Sadly, nothing could be done to save him and he was pronounced dead shortly after 10am.”<\/p>\n

\u201cA dog was also found inside the house with suspected stab wounds and has been taken to a vet for treatment.<\/p>\n

\u201cOfficers have put a cordon in place at the home and have launched an investigation to understand the circumstances surrounding the man\u2019s death.<\/p>\n

\u201cTwo men, aged 32 and 27, and a woman, aged 33, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cops asked for anyone with information to come forward.<\/p>\n
