During his act, the camera repeatedly cut to the presenters, who could be seen in hysterics as Ted performed for the audience and judges. However, several fans questioned the authenticity of the ITV hosts, with many suggesting they were “fake laughing” because Ted was their Golden Buzzer act.<\/p>\n
Taking to X with their thoughts, one wrote: “I swear Ant & Dec are just forcing a laugh because he\u2019s their golden buzzer and they feel they have to. How can this be considered comedy? Utter s***e.”<\/p>\n
Another echoed: “Ant & Dec false laughing, he’s not funny at all #BGT.”<\/p>\n
A third agreed: “There’s no way Ant and Dec think he’s that funny.”<\/p>\n
Others hit out at Ted’s performance, with one posting: “Comedian act. Is anyone laughing? I\u2019m considering doing the wash up now rather than the advert break.”<\/p>\n
Another penned: “How on earth did Ant & Dec give their golden buzzer to Ted Hill…”<\/p>\n
A third fumed: “Why are Ant and Dec goading KSI to press the Gold? I know it’s their act but Jesus Christ.”<\/p>\n
However, others complimented Ted’s performance, with one declaring: “I really didn’t get his act in the auditions, but it’s finally clicked and I’m finding this quite funny… Go on Ted!”<\/p>\n
A second agreed: “Ted Hill is my exact brand of humour oughhhhh id love to see him irl.”<\/p>\n
The judges appeared to agree with Ant and Dec as Amanda said after Ted’s performance: “You have the likeability factor. It’s huge with you. You could literally say anything. You’re a comedy genius.”<\/p>\n
Although KSI acknowledged that Ted was unique, he admitted he was still on the fence after the performance.<\/p>\n
Alesha then stepped in: “It’s people like you that make this show so unique because where else could we see this? Nowhere. I’m not 100 per cent sure I know what this act is, but I want to see more of it.”<\/p>\n
Simon chimed in: “This is one of the funniest things we’ve had on this show. You are so unique and people of all ages are going to fall in love with you.
