Britain’s Got Talent viewers have called for a shake-up to the ITV<\/a> talent competition following claims of an ‘unfair’ advantage.<\/p>\n The ITV programme returns for its third live semi-final, with disgruntled viewers expressing their anger over the revamped format. This series, during the live semi-finals, each judge gets an opportunity to wield the power and send one act through.<\/p>\n The exclusive Golden Buzzer enables them to dispatch someone directly to the final, though they can deploy it just once – and while that act performs. Certain viewers have expressed their frustration with the format, claiming it lacks fairness.<\/p>\n “Golden buzzer seriously needs to be left until everyone is on stage for the final results. As in, after everyone has performed,” one viewer posted. Another commented: “How many more acts are going straight to the final. What happens to public choice. #BGT.”<\/p>\n A third wrote: “I’m late to this and only catching up now but how can you have a golden buzzer to put an act through to the final before seeing all of them? Bizarre concept that doesn’t work and makes zero sense. #BGT”, reports the Mirror<\/a>.<\/p>\n Comedian Ted Hill represents one of the programme’s contenders scheduled to feature on the talent show this evening, having secured the golden buzzer from presenters Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly.<\/p>\n The aspiring performer, who demonstrated his comedic talents through a PowerPoint presentation while discussing his personal journey with autism and ADHD, remains hopeful of progressing to the final this evening. “I’m really excited and I told Ant and Dec about a couple of different ideas that I had and what direction to go in. And their advice to me was to be weird, to really go for it,” he revealed exclusively to The Mirror.<\/p>\n “I’ve decided that I just want to be as authentic to myself as possible, and if I don’t get through because I was too much like myself, then I don’t think I will have any regrets. I’ve decided to fully commit to the weirdness of my personality. And I’ve done something a little bit sciencey that involves my science knowledge to make a special gift for Simon Cowell. Because I got the golden buzzer from Ant and Dec I didn’t get any feedback from Simon in my audition so I’m hoping he will like this one.”<\/p>\n When asked what winning Britain’s Got Talent would mean to him, Ted expressed his hope that it would transform his career while also inspiring others.<\/p>\n He explained: “My dream is to sort of find a bigger audience, to find people out there that like comedy that’s a bit different. Then to be able to go on tours where I can perform in bigger venues.
