Tributes have been left close to the scene where a musician was fatally stabbed. Police raced to Raby Street<\/a> at around 11pm on Friday night. (May 8).<\/p>\n A man in his 30s was taken to hospital, where he sadly later died. The man has since been named by friends<\/a> as Dre Brown. His full first name was Adrian, it is understood.<\/p>\n Mr Brown was a musician, going by the name StanaMan. He remains in custody for questioning, Greater Manchester Police<\/a> (GMP) confirmed this morning (Sunday).<\/p>\n A cordon remains in place on Raby Street. Officers in white forensic suits are to continuing work at the scene, with a blue forensic tent remaining in place and yellow evidence markers having been placed at points inside the police tape.<\/p>\n Dre Brown(Image: Facebook)<\/p>\n A number of floral tributes have also been laid nearby. A large pink and white heart-shaped wreath has been left with the words ‘world’s best’ on it.<\/p>\n A message on another bunch of flowers reads: “Rest in eternal peace, Adrian, aka Stanna Man. Rest well, thinking of your family and friends at this sad time.”<\/p>\n Tributes to Mr Brown are also continuing to flood in on social media. One friend said: “Such a lovely young man. Rest in paradise Dre taken far to soon. Sending prayers to your family.”<\/p>\n Forensic officers were continuing to work at the scene on Sunday(Image: Jason Roberts \/Manchester Evening News)<\/p>\n Another said: “R.I.P Adrian. Such a kind soul! Always happy and smiling. You will missed by many.” A third said: “R.E.I.P Dre you were a gooden fly high bro.” Whilst another added: “RIEP Adrian. Will always love your music.”<\/p>\n GMP said yesterday that an investigation was ‘ongoing’ and that officers were ‘exhausting all lines of enquiry to establish the full circumstances and those involved.’<\/p>\n Detective Superintendent Toby Facey, from the force, said: “This was a shocking act of violence, and our thoughts remain with the victim and his family at this incredibly difficult time. They continue to be supported by our specialist officers.<\/p>\n There is a growing collection of tributes(Image: Jason Roberts \/Manchester Evening News)<\/p>\n “I would like to reassure the community that we believe this was a targeted attack and poses no wider risk to the public. We understand this is a deeply concerning incident, and we will have extra patrols in the area.
