Richard Tice has confirmed the door has slammed shut for any future Tory defectors to Reform.<\/p>\n

Speaking to GB News, Reform’s economics spokesman told Camilla Tominey any potential Conservative mutineers had \u201chad their chance\u201d but added a caveat for any from the Labour jumpers.<\/p>\n

Reform leader Nigel Farage had previously pledged his party would not accept any more Tory defectors after May 7, the date of the local elections across the country. <\/p>\n

Now, Mr Tice has confirmed the bar was now in place and \u201cthat\u2019s it\u201d regarding the switching of allegiances. <\/p>\n

Camilla questioned: \u201cThat\u2019s it? So if somebody wants to defect, somebody really good, you’re going to say no?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey’ve had the chance,\u201d the Reform Economics Spokesman declared. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhat about the Labour Party? Don’t you need more Labourites with the Tories?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe refer to Tories,\u201d Mr Tice responded, hinting there would be room for mutineers from Keir Starmer\u2019s party.<\/p>\n

\u201cI’m going to hold you to that,\u201d the GB News host promised. <\/p>\n

The Reform MP then added the restriction applied \u201cbetween now and the general election\u201d. <\/p>\n

An incredulous Camilla asked: \u201cAre you seriously telling me you\u2019re not going to take any defections between now and the general election? <\/p>\n

\u201cYou’ve got to find hundreds of candidates!\u201d<\/p>\n

‘I’m going to hold you to that,’ a disbelieving Camilla Tominey promised <\/p>\n

\u201cWe’ve just found nearly 5000 candidates, we’re not short of them,\u201d Mr Tice shot back. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe’ve already had lots and lots of people express an appetite to be a Member of Parliament.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have great candidates, great policies, and we’re going to win, and we’re going to win big,\u201d he pledged. <\/p>\n

While the Reform MP was definitive about Tory defectors, Camilla pressed him on the day his party might have to \u201ccall on your Tory mates to prop you up\u201d in Government. <\/p>\n

Mr Tice also rubbished the idea of an electoral alliance with Reform <\/p>\n

The GB News host argued that, while Reform had been successful in the local elections, the results in the general election would translate to 284 seats. <\/p>\n

\u201cThat’s well short of a 326 majority, and you need a stonking majority because you’ve got a very ambitious legislative agenda,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n

However, Mr Tice rubbished the notion and bid the public to vote tactically \u201cto secure what they want, which is a proper right-of-centre Government\u201d. <\/p>\n

\u201cAnybody who doesn’t want hard left socialism has to vote tactically for Reform,\u201d he insisted.<\/p>\n

To that end, Mr Tice declared: \u201cWe’re now the biggest unionist party in Wales and Scotland. Labour has disappeared. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe Tories are basically a soft, soggy southern party disappearing down a plughole. <\/p>\n
