While the reason for the attack is not clear it is believed the Malinois dog had &#8216;come off of its lead&#8217;. It is unclear if the three adults involved in the attack are related to the child also involved.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Three people, including a 15-year-old boy, have since been <a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/all-about\/cleveland-police\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_self\">arrested<\/a> by Cleveland Police and are believed to be cooperating with the police investigation.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"A Malinois similar to the one involved in the attack\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/0_Malinois.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p aria-label=\"A Malinois similar to the one involved in the attack\" class=\"ImageCaption_caption-title__ccyQU\" data-testid=\"caption-title\">A Malinois similar to the one involved in the attack(Image: Getty Images\/iStockphoto)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">A <a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/all-about\/cleveland-police\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_self\">Cleveland Police<\/a> spokesperson said: &#8220;At 2.10pm on Sunday 10 May police were called to Marshall Avenue in relation to reports of a Malinois dog attacking four people.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;The dog, which is believed to have come off of its lead, bit three adults and a four-year-old child. All have received treatment at hospital with injuries that are not life threatening.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;A 15-year-old boy, a 34-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman, have been arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control causing injury and are being questioned in custody. Officers have seized the dog while the investigation is ongoing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">T\/Inspector Mike Dalton, from Middlesbrough response, said: \u201cOnce the report was received, officers swiftly attended to the area and the dog was located and seized. As part of the investigation, three people have been arrested and will be questioned while officers establish what took place.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">\u201cI want to take this opportunity to appeal to anyone who has information or footage in the run to and during the bite to please get in touch by calling 101 or visiting the website quoting reference number 088568.
