We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.<\/p>\n<p>Your support makes all the difference.Read more<\/p>\n<p>Graham Norton has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/arts-entertainment\/eurovision\/eurovision-2026-greece-akylas-ferto-meaning-b2974272.html\" title=\"Greece\u2019s Eurovision 2026 entry Akylas wrote song \u2018Ferto\u2019 about \u2018greed and overconsumption\u2019\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">praised the UK\u2019s Eurovision entry<\/a>, describing it as &#8220;different to anything else we\u2019ve ever entered&#8221; and hailing Look Mum No Computer as a &#8220;really great choice&#8221;. <\/p>\n<p>The 63-year-old Irish broadcaster, who has fronted the Eurovision Song Contest coverage since 2009, is set to return to lead the UK\u2019s broadcast later this week. <\/p>\n<p>Norton reflected on the upcoming 70th edition of Eurovision, noting that the competition &#8220;really defies description&#8221; amidst the palpable excitement.<\/p>\n<p>He said: \u201cI <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/arts-entertainment\/eurovision\/eurovision-2026-semi-final-running-order-b2974115.html\" title=\"Eurovision 2026: Running order for the first and second semi-finals\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">think Look Mum No Computer<\/a> is a really great choice for the UK. The song is different to anything else we\u2019ve ever entered and I can really imagine the whole arena getting behind it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCan he win? If he connects with the crowd there will be no stopping him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also praised the competition for \u201cbringing audiences together\u201d, and told the BBC: \u201cNothing beats the feeling that viewers all across Europe are watching and judging at the same time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt really defies description.
