King Charles made a poignant trip to Guy’s Hospital in London on 11 May<\/p>\n

King Charles has made a poignant outing to meet with fellow cancer patients at Guy’s Hospital in London<\/a>.<\/p>\n The King, who announced in December that his own cancer treatment was going well enough to be \u2018reduced\u2019, marked the Hospital’s 300th anniversary with a visit to the Cancer Centre, where he met with chemotherapy patients and medical staff.<\/p>\n Upon arrival at the hospital\u2019s Innovation Hub, His Majesty, who serves as Patron of King\u2019s College London<\/a>, heard about how staff and researchers are using AI and robotics to treat patients. He watched a demonstration of a robotically assisted surgical system before visiting the \u2018Chemotherapy Village\u2019, where he met with fellow patients.<\/p>\n The King marked the 300th anniversary of Guy’s Hospital with a special outing this Monday<\/p>\n Anadolu\/Getty Images<\/p>\n King Charles was first diagnosed with cancer in February 2024 and has been more honest about his health battle than any monarch in history.
