part of an investigation into an alleged rape.<\/p>\n<p>Police cordoned off the entrances to All Saints Church in Mill Street, Maidstone, at around 10.30pm on Saturday (May 9).<\/p>\n<p><img were at the church over the weekend\"\/>Police were at the church over the weekend<\/p>\n<p>It follows reports that a woman had been raped by a man she met earlier that evening.<\/p>\n<p>It is alleged the incident happened in two town centre locations, between 7pm and 10pm, at a venue in the High Street and near the church in Mill Street.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday (Monday), a 50-year-old man from Chatham was arrested in connection with the incident and remains in custody pending further inquiries.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information is urged to call 999, quoting reference 46\/73799\/25.<\/p>\n<p>Local residents with private CCTV or drivers with dashcam, who may have been in the area at the time of the incident, are also asked to check for footage.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, the police cordon was still in place at two entrances of the Grade I Listed church.<\/p>\n<p>KentOnline understands the police are treating this as an isolated incident.<\/p>\n<p>All Saints Church has been contacted for Archbishop of Canterbury, William Courtenay.<\/p>\n<p>It sits within a very large medieval complex called the All Saints Conservation Area, in the town centre, close to the River
