A pharmacy manager from Larkhall has been crowned Ms Great Britain Glasgow at a glittering ceremony.<\/p>\n
Samantha Grant described the moment as \u201cone of the most incredible moments\u201d in her life.<\/p>\n
And the 35-year-old will now go on to represent Glasgow at the national finals in Leicester this October.<\/p>\n
She said: \u201cBeing crowned the first ever Ms Great Britain Glasgow is an honour that I will forever be grateful for. Being back on stage after eight years of not competing felt incredibly empowering and the immense pride in myself that I felt when my name was announced as the winner will go down as one of the most incredible moments in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n
She added: \u201cGetting back on stage and the run up to finals definitely felt different this time around, being a mummy to my little girl who is three, I had to adapt to a different way of preparing. I am so lucky to have such a supportive husband and family who were there to allow me time to get myself prepared.\u201d<\/p>\n

What these women have achieved collectively goes far beyond the crowns.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cPageantry today is about purpose, platform and community impact. It\u2019s about empowering women to step outside their comfort zones, grow in confidence and use their voices to make meaningful change.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cTo see our finalists raise over \u00a330,000 for charity this year is nothing short of incredible. We cannot wait to support them on their journey to the national finals this October.\u201d<\/p>\n Founded in 1945, Miss Great Britain remains the UK\u2019s longest running and most prestigious pageant organisation, celebrating women for their achievements, ambition and community contributions.<\/p>\n Now in its fifth year, Miss Great Britain Glasgow continues to grow from strength to strength, with finalists and titleholders achieving success both nationally and internationally.<\/p>\n While Samantha was crowned Ms Great Britain Glasgow at the C7 Conference Centre on Friday, May 8, Paris Milne of Newton Mearns was named Miss Great Britain Glasgow, and both will now go to the finals.<\/p>\n The glamorous annual event saw 24 finalists from across Scotland compete across two categories, Miss (ages 18 to 30) and Ms (ages 31 to 44), in \u201can inspiring evening celebrating confidence, community impact, charity work and female empowerment\u201d.<\/p>\n Applications for the 2027 Miss and Ms Great Britain Glasgow finals will open later this year.
