{"id":35930,"date":"2026-05-14T06:53:37","date_gmt":"2026-05-14T06:53:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/35930\/"},"modified":"2026-05-14T06:53:37","modified_gmt":"2026-05-14T06:53:37","slug":"ageas-uk-to-make-job-cuts-after-review-of-organisational-structure","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/35930\/","title":{"rendered":"Ageas UK to make job cuts after review of organisational structure"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.insurancetimes.co.uk\/insurers\/featured\/ageas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Ageas<\/a> UK has confirmed that it will be making job cuts following recent acquistions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"picture\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"launch (2)\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/122169_launch2_216166.jpg\"  loading=\"eager\" class=\"lazyloaded\" width=\"2309\" height=\"1298\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The insurer acquired\u00a0Acromas Insurance Company at the end of 2024 and completed its acquisition of Esure in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Following these deals, Ageas UK has been reviewing its organisational structure and found it\u00a0currently has around 3,800 people across Ageas UK and Esure, supported by 400 outsourced roles.<\/p>\n<p>However, Ageas UK has said that it\u00a0expects these will reduce to 2,000 by 2029, supported by 900 outsourced roles through strategic partners.<\/p>\n<p>This has been driven by deduplication of roles during integration, rationale of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insurancetimes.co.uk\/insurers\/featured\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">insurer\u2019s<\/a> office footprint, digitisation and automation and natural attrition.<\/p>\n<p>An Ageas UK spokesperson said: \u201cFollowing recent acquisitions, we are reviewing our organisational structure to ensure that Ageas UK remains competitive, sustainable and well-positioned for the long-term in a fast-changing market as a top three personal lines UK insurer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are reducing duplication, reinvesting in digital and data and building the skills and capabilities needed to meet evolving customer needs while keeping prices fair.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>What it means for staff<\/p>\n<p>Colleagues affected by the changes will have access to reskilling and career development opportunities, retraining and redeployment wherever possible and outplacement support.<\/p>\n<p>This includes CV guidance, job search tools and interview coaching.<\/p>\n<p>The insurer also has a new career transitions programme to go further in supporting impacted colleagues, focused on building the practical, in demand skills identified in its future skills framework.<\/p>\n<p>Ageas UK is also open to working with local partners and employers to support affected colleagues, including hosting local engagement sessions to connect people with new opportunities in their area.<\/p>\n<p>The Ageas UK spokesperson said: \u201dDecisions affecting colleagues are never taken lightly and where roles may be affected, we are committed to supporting colleagues with care, fairness and respect.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dThis includes redeployment opportunities where possible, reskilling and retraining and career transition and outplacement support.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Ageas UK has confirmed that it will be making job cuts following recent acquistions.
