A pharmacy manager from Larkhall has been crowned Ms Great Britain Glasgow<\/a>, securing a spot in the national final of the competition. Samantha Grant described the win as \u201cone of the most incredible moments\u201d in her life.<\/p>\n And the 35-year-old will now go on to represent Glasgow at the UK finals in Leicester this October, Lanarkshire Live<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n She said: \u201cBeing crowned the first ever Ms Great Britain Glasgow<\/a> is an honour that I will forever be grateful for. Being back on stage after eight years of not competing felt incredibly empowering and the immense pride in myself that I felt when my name was announced as the winner will go down as one of the most incredible moments in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n She added: \u201cGetting back on stage and the run up to finals definitely felt different this time around, being a mummy to my little girl who is three, I had to adapt to a different way of preparing. I am so lucky to have such a supportive husband and family who were there to allow me time to get myself prepared.\u201d<\/p>\n During her reign, Samantha hopes to focus on women\u2019s empowerment and went on: \u201cI want to continue the mission I started on the lead up to finals and inspire more women to find themselves again and be confident in who they are and what they stand for.\u201d<\/p>\n She also spoke passionately about helping to challenge outdated stereotypes surrounding modern pageantry, emphasising the strong focus on charity <\/a>work, confidence building and community impact throughout the competition.<\/p>\n Samantha said: \u201cModern day pageantry is a sisterhood, creating friendships that last a lifetime, it’s being able to use your voice to speak up for what you believe in.\u201d<\/p>\n Organisers say the competition is designed to empower women to use their voices to create positive and lasting impact within their communities.<\/p>\n Katie McPike, co-director of Miss Great Britain Glasgow, said: \u201cWe are unbelievably proud of every single finalist who took to the stage this year. What these women have achieved collectively goes far beyond the crowns.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cPageantry today is about purpose, platform and community impact. It\u2019s about empowering women to step outside their comfort zones, grow in confidence and use their voices to make meaningful change.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cTo see our finalists raise over \u00a330,000 for charity this year is nothing short of incredible. Every single act of kindness, fundraiser, campaign and conversation contributes towards creating real change, and we could not be prouder of the impact these women have made.\u201d<\/p>\n
