A man has died after an ‘altercation’ outside Home Bargains in Blackburn<\/p>\n
A man has died and two people have been arrested after what police have called an “altercation” outside a busy Home Bargains.<\/p>\n
Lancashire Police<\/a> launched an investigation after the man, in his 30s, died in hospital on Saturday afternoon (March 28). The victim had been “involved in an altercation” with two men outside the Home Bargains store on Byrom Street, Blackburn, at around 6.45pm on Friday (March 27), officers said.<\/p>\n He later collapsed and was taken to hospital, where he died the next day despite the best efforts of medical staff. A Home Office post-mortem examination found the cause of death to be a head injury.<\/p>\n Two Blackburn men, aged 43 and 44, were arrested on suspicion of murder on Tuesday afternoon (March 31) and remain in custody for questioning. While we have made two arrests, our enquiries are very much ongoing, and we are asking for the public\u2019s help.<\/p>\n “We know from the CCTV we have already examined that there are a number of vehicles and witnesses at Home Bargains at the time so we would really like to speak to anyone who was in the area between 4pm and 9.30pm on Friday March 27 and who has dashcam footage or mobile footage or who may have been a witness to this incident to get in touch.”<\/p>\n Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting log 0936 of March 30.
