Overall across the period, temperatures are expected to be above normal with winds often light for many.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Is the UK facing an official heatwave?<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">An official <a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/all-about\/heatwave\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"\">heatwave<\/a> is declared by the Met Office when temperatures reach or exceed the heatwave threshold for three consecutive days. The heatwave threshold varies from 25C to 28C across parts of the UK.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">It stands at 28C in the south-east of England where temperatures tend to be warmer, and drops to 25C further north.
