Police attended Streatham Common shortly after 11.25am this morning (May 17) to reports of the altercation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Two men in their 20s sustained minor injuries requiring hospital treatment but have since been discharged. They are now in custody on suspicion of affray.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">A third man, aged in his 50s, has also been detained on suspicion of actual bodily harm and possession of a bladed article. He too remains in police custody.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The <a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mylondon.news\/all-about\/british-transport-police\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_self\">British Transport Police<\/a> (BTP) is appealing for witnesses to come forward to help with ongoing enquiries. Officers shut Streatham Common station to the public for more than an hour whilst they secured the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Although recovered, Thameslink and Southern services in Central and South London were affected for much of the afternoon. The closure, combined with planned engineering works, blocked some lines between East Croydon and Clapham Junction, impacting trains to and from Blackfriars.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant information is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 202 of 17 May.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Got a story for MyLondon?
