A 16-year-old was stabbed in a robbery outside a Tube station in Barnet yesterday afternoon (May 18). He was knifed in front of horrified onlookers near the entrance of Burnt Oak station, on Watling Avenue, shortly after 4.15pm.<\/p>\n
Paramedics and an air ambulance crew treated the teenager at the scene before rushing him to a major trauma centre. His injuries are not life-threatening, the Metropolitan Police<\/a> said in a statement.<\/p>\n No arrests have been made in connection and enquiries are ongoing, the force added. Witnesses are urged to come forward to help in the investigation.<\/p>\n The attack happened outside Burnt Oak Underground station in North London(Image: Sunil060902 \/ Creative Commons)<\/p>\n A spokesperson the London Ambulance Service added: “We were called at 4.17pm today (Mon 18) to reports of a stabbing outside Burnt Oak, Underground, Edgware, HA8.<\/p>\n “We sent resources including ambulance crews, a clinician in a response car, an incident response officer and London’s air ambulance. We treated a teenager at the scene before taking him to a London major trauma centre.”<\/p>\n Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting CAD 5202\/18MAY.
