Winters said that <a target=\"_self\" class=\"e1yy41x40 ef9u0v01 css-1ankfgb ecgc78b0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scmp.com\/business\/banking-finance\/article\/3354204\/hsbcs-ceo-says-ai-will-both-create-and-destroy-financial-industry-jobs?module=inline&amp;pgtype=article\" title=\"\" data-qa=\"BaseLink-renderAnchor-StyledAnchor\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">AI adoption<\/a> would replace some \u201clower-value human capital\u201d.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">The CEO first made a LinkedIn post explaining his comments from earlier this week, before then posting for a second time, apologising for his Tuesday remarks.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">\u201cI have received a lot of support for the messages in my previous post,\u201d wrote Winters in his second LinkedIn post on Friday. \u201cBut still get questions about my choice of words, which I know has caused upset to some colleagues.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor that I am sorry,\u201d he said, attaching a transcript from the media briefing on Tuesday to the post.
