If <a class=\"hm-link he-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hellomagazine.com\/tags\/queen-consort-camilla\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Queen Camilla<\/a> and <a class=\"hm-link he-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hellomagazine.com\/tags\/king-charles\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">King Charles<\/a> find themselves in need of a dip while at their London mainstay home, they are in luck.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ev23oMGMtzv\" data-wc=\"33\"><a class=\"hm-link he-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hellomagazine.com\/tags\/clarence-house\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Clarence House<\/a> is situated just 0.4 miles from <a class=\"hm-link he-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hellomagazine.com\/tags\/buckingham-palace\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Buckingham Palace<\/a>, where the royal couple have access to a private swimming pool. That\u2019s the reason I got better. It was so typically thoughtful.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Open to staff<\/p>\n<p id=\"e2l3x9usoJ2z\" data-wc=\"37\">Although the pool is often used by senior royals, including <a class=\"hm-link he-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hellomagazine.com\/tags\/prince-william-and-kate\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"article-body-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Prince William and Kate<\/a>, it is also open for use by members of the Staff Sports Club, provided it doesn&#8217;t clash with one of the royals&#8217; swims.<\/p>\n<p> <img src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/184ea56bc2ae-camilla-sunglasses-wimbledon.jpg\"   width=\"1024\" height=\"668\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Queen Camilla in a white dress and sunglasses at Wimbledon\" fetchpriority=\"auto\" class=\"image he-image\" data-flatplan=\"fp_photoCaption\"\/>\u00a9 GettyQueen Camilla has access to the private pool at Buckingham Palace<\/p>\n<p id=\"eWxQ89x8kdgs\" data-wc=\"47\">&#8220;The rule is that if a staff member is swimming and one of the Royals appears, they have to get out, unless invited to remain, which often happens,&#8221; Brian Hoey explained in his book, Not In Front of the Corgis: Secrets Of Life Behind The Royal Curtains.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p id=\"evT55TI8LOAQ\" data-wc=\"38\">&#8220;If, when the staff member turns up, a Royal is already in the pool, the servant, and this includes senior members such as the Private Secretary or Keeper of the Privy Purse, will not attempt to join them.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A dip at Highgrove<\/p>\n<p id=\"e-ZVxs1EbNXZ\" data-wc=\"43\">Meanwhile, Queen Camilla could cool off with a light swim if she and Charles were to go to Highgrove House this bank holiday weekend.
