{"id":47971,"date":"2026-05-25T07:08:58","date_gmt":"2026-05-25T07:08:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/47971\/"},"modified":"2026-05-25T07:08:58","modified_gmt":"2026-05-25T07:08:58","slug":"standard-chartered-launches-blockchain-based-tokenised-deposits-solution","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/47971\/","title":{"rendered":"Standard Chartered Launches Blockchain-Based Tokenised Deposits Solution"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sc.com\/hk\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited<\/a> (\u201cSCBHK\u201d)\u00a0 today announced that, under the Supervisory Incubator for Distributed Ledger Technology and\u00a0 Project Ensemble launched by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (\u201cHKMA\u201d), the Bank has\u00a0 successfully tokenised HKD, CNH and USD accounts of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ant-intl.com\/inclusive-growth\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ant International<\/a>\u00a0on the latter\u2019s\u00a0 blockchain-based, real-time treasury management platform \u2013 the Whale platform, following the\u00a0 completion of HKD-denominated blockchain test settlement for Ant International last year.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The solution co-created by SCBHK and Ant International allows Ant International\u2019s entities to\u00a0 accelerate their shift to superior, future-proof treasury management and real-time 24\/7 movement\u00a0 of value in HKD, CNH and USD through tokenisation. Ant International is the first client of SCBHK\u00a0 to adopt the solution. Both companies are members of the EnsembleTX established by the HKMA,\u00a0 that aims to accelerate the adoption of tokenisation in Hong Kong.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ffnews.com\/people\/mahesh-kini\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mahesh Kini<\/a>, Global Head of Cash Management, Standard Chartered, said, \u201cAs corporates\u00a0 and institutions increasingly rely on \u2018just in time\u2019 liquidity, demand for real time and 24\/7 treasury\u00a0 management is rapidly accelerating. Ant International also\u00a0 participated in the Sandbox and developed two use cases using its Whale platform.
