Emergency services descended on Formby Beach this afternoon following concerns for the safety of a teenage girl. Merseyside Police, the coastguard and North West Ambulance Service were called to Formby<\/a> Beach on Albert Road at around 3.30pm on Monday, May 25.<\/p>\n Police said a 15-year-old girl was taken to hospital<\/a> following the incident and that her family have been informed. The response involved a large emergency services presence, including the air ambulance, a coastguard helicopter and several police incident response vehicles.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for the force said: \u201cWe can confirm that emergency services are in Formby following an incident this afternoon, Monday, May 25.<\/p>\n \u201cAt around 3.30pm, police, the coastguard and NWAS were called to Formby Beach, Albert Road to reports of a concern for the safety of a 15-year-old girl.<\/p>\n \u201cShe has been taken to hospital and her family are aware.
