I was taken to places around south-west London, and also neighbouring areas such as Slough and Luton.

“I don’t think it’s possible for us to say that in the country’s largest city, there wouldn’t be a problem with grooming. If it can happen in a posh, wealthy city like Oxford, it’s definitely happening in London. And probably has been since the 90s.”

The survivor pulls no punches in addressing why she believes the Labour Mayor remains blind to the suffering of young girls. She highlighted the specific demographics of the gangs that abused her – predominantly Muslim men targeting vulnerable white girls – and accused Khan of political cowardice.

“I think the Mayor is living under a rock,” she insisted. “Sadiq Khan is a Muslim, isn’t he? So he’s not going to want to say, ‘Oh yes, we’ve got a problem in London with Muslims grooming white girls.’ “He’s not going to want to say that, so there’s probably that element to it as well. But is it happening in London? I would bet everything I own that it is still happening in London today.”

Her blistering criticism of Khan is part of a much broader condemnation of a political and justice system that completely abandoned her.

First targeted at just 12 years old, Girl One endured three years of daily rape, extreme violence, and forced drug addiction. Despite repeatedly going missing from children’s homes and being found by police in the company of older men, she was dismissed by the authorities as a “prostitute” and a “fantasist.”

When she turned up at police stations at 3am with no shoes and visible injuries – including so many cigarette burns her mother had to bathe her in salt water to prevent sepsis – police and social workers did nothing.

Astonishingly, social services even placed her on antipsychotic medication to silence her desperate disclosures. After her abusers were finally jailed in 2012, she was forced to fight the county council for 11 agonising years in civil court just to get the truth, with authorities settling out of court with a payout merely two hours before trial to keep their files hidden.

Now suffering from severe complex PTSD, she is demanding a parallel criminal investigation into the state officials who facilitated her abuse through gross negligence.

But her starkest warning remains for politicians like Sadiq Khan, who she believes are prioritising community relations over child safety. With social media apps acting as a “sweet shop” for modern predators, she fears the crisis is only accelerating.

“It’s sad that he still appears to be in denial about it,” she said of the Mayor. “I’m sorry to the victims in London that your Mayor feels this way. Ultimately, I just want people to be able to have a life, and not carry on suffering as I did.”

London Mayor Sadiq Khan has been accused of “living under a rock” and wilfully turning a blind eye…

[26
24361,61,2211,27,24360,473
post-48523","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-london","tag-child-exploitation","tag-crime","tag-grooming-gangs","tag-london","tag-london-crisis","tag-sadiq-khan
["GET
