A 17-year-old has been stabbed and nine people have been arrested after a crowd of teenagers gathered in Clapham, south London<\/a>.<\/p>\n Met Police<\/a> were called to Clapham Common on Friday as fighting broke out at the \u2018unauthorised gathering\u2019, which had been promoted on TikTok<\/a>.<\/p>\n Footage from the event shows people punching one another and attacking people on the floor as officers attempt to break up the group.<\/p>\n The teenager was taken to hospital with stab wounds, which were deemed to be \u2018neither life-threatening nor life-changing,\u2019 according to police.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for the Met Police said: \u2018We were called on Friday, 22 May to an unauthorised gathering on Clapham Common.<\/p>\n \u2018The group were dispersed by officers after fighting broke out in the crowd, following this we made nine arrests.<\/p>\n \u2018All of those arrested remain in police custody.<\/p>\n \u2018We urge anyone who was at the event or who has any information to come forward to police by calling 101 and quoting CAD8948\/22May.<\/p>\n \u2018A police presence will remain in the area, and we\u2019ll be reviewing CCTV and other evidence in the coming days.\u2019<\/p>\n Four boys, one aged 16, two 17 and one 19, were arrested on suspicion of affray.<\/p>\n A 16-year-old and a 14-year-old were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and affray.<\/p>\n Meanwhile two people \u2013 a 20-year-old man and a 15-year-old \u2013 were arrested on suspicion of possessing a knife, and an 18-year-old was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer.<\/p>\n \t\t\t\tLatest London news\t\t\t<\/p>\n To get the latest news from the capital, visit Metro’s London news hub<\/a>.<\/p>\n It comes just weeks after throngs of teenagers similarly gathered at nearby Clapham High Street<\/a>, forcing shops to close early as officers attempted to bring the situation under control.<\/p>\n Families and passersby were barricaded inside stores as hundreds of youths piled through after schools emptied for the Easter<\/a> holidays in April.<\/p>\n Footage emerged of fires being lit and fireworks being set off on Clapham Common.<\/p>\n Arrow Arrow Arrow
