His next of kin has been made aware.<\/p>\n<p>A relative posted on Facebook: \u2018I am so proud to call this man my brother\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cornwalllive.com\/all-about\/devon-and-cornwall-police\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Devon and Cornwall Police<\/a>\u00a0said: \u2018We were called by the Ambulance Service at around 3.50pm on Monday 25 May following a report of a man suffering a cardiac arrest in the sea at Tregirls Beach, Padstow.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Emergency services and the RNLI attended the scene but sadly, the local man in his 60s was pronounced deceased at the scene. His next of kin are aware.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>It came as police in West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and Warwickshire have confirmed the deaths of two teenage boys and a teenage girl.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<img width=\"646\" height=\"339\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/SEC_299040525-6432.jpg\" class=\"article-image wp-image-28529628\" alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><br \/>\n\t\tDeclan Sawyer, Reco Puttock and Abbie Carmody-Pepper are feared to have drowned over the Bank Holiday heatwave<\/p>\n<p>A 13-year-old boy, named locally as Reco Puttock, was pronounced dead after being pulled from water near Halifax.<\/p>\n<p>A few hours later, a 16-year-old girl was found dead at a water park in <a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/warwickshire\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Warwickshire<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>South Yorkshire Police have also confirmed the death of a teenage boy in Rother Valley Country Park, Rotherham.<\/p>\n<p>The search is on for a missing 12-year-old boy who vanished swimming with friends in the River Ribble.<\/p>\n<p>A Lancashire Police spokesman told Metro: \u2018We were called at just after 2pm today (Tuesday, May 26th) to a concern for the welfare of a child who had gone into the river at Ribchester.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The child, a boy, had got into difficulty while swimming with friends.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Emergency services are at the scene and searches are ongoing.\u2019<\/p>\n<p><a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2026\/05\/25\/weather-breaks-record-28512606\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The hottest day of May was recorded yesterday<\/a>, with temperatures reaching 34.8\u00b0C at Kew in south <a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/london\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">London<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<img width=\"646\" height=\"342\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/SEI_298992900-7adc.jpg\" class=\"article-image wp-image-28521765\" alt=\"Teenage girl found dead at Kingsbury Water Park on bank holiday picture: Google maps\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><br \/>\n\t\tA teenage girl found dead at Kingsbury Water Park on bank holiday Monday (Picture: Google Maps)<\/p>\n<p>It comes after <a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2026\/05\/25\/body-found-search-missing-15-year-old-boy-vanished-swimming-lake-28509151\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the body of another boy \u2013 Declan Sawyer, 15 \u2013 was found at Swanholme Lakes in Lincoln on Sunday<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Health warnings issued over UK heatwave<\/p>\n<p>Thousands flocked to beaches, water parks and reservoirs yesterday as <a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2026\/05\/25\/weather-breaks-record-28512606\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the hottest day of May was recorded<\/a> at 34.8\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p>The previous record was set in 1944, when Britain was baked by 32.8\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p>Forecasters\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/metoffice\/status\/2058812672829718975\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">described<\/a>\u00a0the heat as \u2018unprecedented for the time of year,\u2019 stressing that temperature records are typically broken by only fractions of a degree.<\/p>\n<p>Multiple\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ukhsa-dashboard.data.gov.uk\/weather-health-alerts\/heat\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">amber and yellow heat health warnings<\/a>\u00a0remain in place today, warning that there could be a \u2018rise in deaths\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Amber alerts \u2013 \u00a0the second-highest warning level in the UK <a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/health-news\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Health<\/a> Security Agency (UKHSA) three-tier system \u2013 are active in:<\/p>\n<p>London<\/p>\n<p>East of England<\/p>\n<p>South East<\/p>\n<p>West Midlands<\/p>\n<p>East Midlands<\/p>\n<p>Yellow warnings cover the rest of England.
